From the scary images of one of those Halloween “This place is so haunted” T.V. specials, to your local creepy mini-mart clerk, we’ve been inspired to take matters into our own hands to prove whether or not a place is so-called “haunted.”

The Carrollton Paranormal Society’s (the other C.P.S. that you won’t mind coming to your home) mission is to help educate and inform those interested or who seek our help.  We are here for you.  With each case we keep you informed each step of the way.  Since every location has a story, the Carrollton Paranormal Society approaches each one from a historical perspective (oddly enough one of our CPS members is a highly decorated history teacher) and follow it through using nifty scientific gadgetry and experience that just might show both you and us that your place might in fact have some unwanted guests.  Well, we should stay PC here – because in some cases clients like knowing they have “company.”

Why did we start C.P.S.?  Good question.  Carrollton, TX has an important pioneering history just like every other place on the map.  Plus, we all basically grew up here and we thought C-Town is a pretty good place to start.  C.P.S. was the brainchild of its founder, Bart Van Bemmel, who was always trying to convince his friends that the paranormal really did exist.  Annoyed by his rants – he challenged them to find out for themselves.  And their proof (or lack there of) is in their video exploits.  Jimmy Harper, technical director and fellow investigator for C.P.S., produces their spooky adventures into a television experience for those who want to follow along at home and for the client.  One thing that separates C.P.S. from other paranormal outfits is that we do make our own web documentary series.  This may or may not be for you, so please let us know if you do not wish to have your case published.

Do we only investigate Carrollton?  If it was the only haunted place on earth, then we would say “yes.”  Do we charge for our services?  Never.  However, we would never turn down a donation to help us recoup some of the costs of travel and production.  But this is not expected.  We do this because we enjoy what we do and are passionate about your case.

The C.P.S. website will not only provide you with an entertaining docu-soap of their scientific findings, but also important contact info and other goodies like pictures and other various stuff pertaining to what we do.

All of our CPS cases featured on the site have given us permission to use the photos, EVPS, and any video footage obtained in our investigations.  All information is considered private by the owner/operator/witness unless given the permission to release anything from the case.
